DRIFT is being developed as a continuous digital form — shaped around the body, with large-format additive manufacturing being explored as a way to make it physical.

DRIFT is being developed around a master digital design that could eventually adapt to the person sitting in it. Not simply bigger or smaller. Different support, in the places you need it.

CONCEPT VISUALIZATION / NOT A PRODUCTION MODEL
Traditional manufacturing is exceptionally good at making the same object thousands of times.
Digital manufacturing introduces another possibility: thousands of chairs that share the same design language, without every chair having identical geometry.
Large-format 3D printing could make this possible — and could bring production closer to the person who will use it. Materials, finishing and quality controls are still being explored.
DRIFT / 001 is currently undergoing design and manufacturing development. This is a proposed process, not a finalized production specification.

DRIFT is moving from concept visualization into an initial shell CAD study. Material testing, scale prototypes, a full-size prototype and physical testing are planned steps toward Prototype 001.
